40 Years Later…
This past weekend, I stood in a room filled with familiar faces from my high school days. Hairstyles have changed, stories have grown richer, and yet, the thread of connection was still there.
Reunions collapse time.
One moment you’re remembering school dances and first loves, the next you’re admiring the resilience, grace, and grit life has shaped in each of us.
It made me pause and think of the 18-year-old me, standing at the edge of adulthood – full of questions, dreams, and doubts. If I could whisper something to her now, it would be this:
✨ Love and friendships will evolve, so stay open and kind.
✨ Comparison steals joy, walk your own path.
✨ Say yes to what scares you – it’s how you’ll grow.
✨ Failures will come, but so will resilience and grace.
✨ Don’t overthink, most doors open when you take the step, not before.
To my younger self: you had no idea the woman you’d become.
And to my present self: keep dancing, keep trusting, and keep celebrating every chapter.
